Kyle Snyder has said that he was designated for assignment following today’s game to make room for Josh Beckett. Now Julian Tavarez can serve as the long man after pitching effectively today and we get a little while longer to see if David Aardsma can pull things together.
Another roster decision will be needed once Mike Timlin returns, but this was the right move for the moment. Expect Snyder to end up on the Phillies or more likely, the Tigers.
