GAME NOTES: Well, the Angels are in town. We beat them in the ALDS in 2004 and beat them again in 2007. Pattern much? Jered Weaver will go up against a sickly Beckett. What’s the over/under on Lugo going 4-4 again? I’ll start the bidding at a billion to one. [UPDATE] Beckett’s not pitching due to a stiff neck. I gotta say this: I don’t know the severity of the neck stiffness, but should that really preclude Beckett from starting? Anyways, Pauley’s back up for the first time since 2006. He looks to be a viable back-of-the-rotation starter longterm. Let’s see how he does tonight.
