Do you think Clay Buchholz should have come out for the eighth? Pulled once Dioner Navarro hit and Akinori Iwamura came to bat?
I was shocked to see him come out for the seventh because I knew the Sox were committed to conserving his arm throughout the year.
I was pleased to see him come out, though. He was flat out dealing, but my mind started whirring once Navarro got on base. In hindsight, it’s easy to say to bring in Okajima to face Iwamura but I don’t think anyone was screaming for Iwamura like we were for Scott Williamson in 2003 to replace Pedro in Game 7.
