Boston Red Sox podcast for MVN Radio Episode 9 where Tom A leads us off, CFY (Cranky Frankie the Yankee) pops in, and the Red Sox can’t win on the road.
Episode #9
Hosts: Paul Testa, Tim Daloisio
Guests: Frank Santorelli – aka “Cranky Frankie the Yankee” (Yankee Aficionado)
Tom A. gets the honor of being the first listener to grace the airwaves of MVN Radio’s Red Sox talk at Fireside Chats as he tosses out the “ceremonial first pitch” this week. Tom asks, “How does this Red Sox offense compare to the dominant offense we witnessed in 2003 or to this years Yankees club?” Cranky Frankie the Yankee was happy to hang in with us and answer Tom’s question. To wet your whistle, the 2003 Red Sox scored a whopping 961 runs, this years team…on pace for 821 and still second in the American League in runs scored.
Tim hates west coast trips about as much as the Red Sox hate to leave Fenway Park and venture out on the road. We’ll break down home/road splits, talk Dice K’s injury, and play a little general manager role play as we look at which young players we would be most likely to lock in to long term deals and why.
All that and more on Episode #9 of Fireside Chats at MVN!
