Dear Jason Bay, Mike Lowell & David Ortiz,

Welcome back!!! It was really good to see you in a Red Sox uniform tonight.

Jason, sorry Canada didn’t get deeper into the WBC, but you played well (in Center Field no less) and your honor and that of your home nation is still very much intact. They were great games. And you got to see some hockey. And you still have 3 more weeks of ST to get ready for a breakout season at Fenway. No pressure!

Mike Lowell, your range, running, & arm are pretty darned good . . . but 3 hits and a HR in 2 partial games? Looks like you had a good rehab. And while you are back like a champ, your Yankee compadre is just starting his rehab. Maybe life IS fair.

Big Papi, what a swing. There you go with another game winning HR. Sorry about the RD in the WBC, but things happen. The good news for RSN and the Dominican is that you got your groove back, and we are all breathing easier.

And did you three see that Red Sox pitching? That doesn’t mean you don’t have to hit much! 7 or 8 runs per game will be just fine. And judging by ST and WBC antics so far by the whole team, you’ll have a lot of help. It’s going to be a very good year.
