When Drew was posed the question on whether or not he was going to bust out:
“Hopefully,” Drew said. “I feel like I’ve had some really good swings.
I’m not necessarily getting the results. When I get my pitch, have to
do something with it.”
Last night against the Angels:
A homer in the fifth, a pitch he just missed in the seventh…,
…And a single. Somewhat weakly hit, sure. But opposite field on an 0-2 count in the top of the ninth to get the lead-off runner on.
At a time when Youkilis just hit the DL, Pedroia has some mild pain, and a few other players are missing in action, this seems to be a great time for Drew to turn it on.
Say what you want about the guy, but if he gets as hot as he did last season, well, just don’t miss it.
