Boston has made a couple of moves before the trade deadline but the best move to break this slump will be a day off and a return home.
Nick Green was Boston’s only offense last night hitting a solo homer in the third inning. That lead was quickly erased by Ian Kinsler’s solo bomb in the bottom of the third and the Rangers never looked back.
Clay Buchholz suffered the loss over 4 innings pitched, six hits, three runs, two walks and three strikeouts.
Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz both went 2-for-4 in the loss.
Goat of the Game – Offense
It’s tough to score runs when an offense walks twice and strikeouts nine times.
Next Game – Day off
It is beyond needed.
