Hello, everyone and welcome the newest installment of FireBrand trivia sponsored by Muze Clothing.
Today’s trivia question is he second question in a contest that will run until May 30th. Best of luck to all of the participants. HERE WE GO!
Catcher interference is a very rare play in baseball. For many players, they will never be awarded first base from catchers interfering with their at-bat. In the last 10+ years, catcher interference has rarely happened to a Red Sox hitter.
In 1998, Darren Lewis (twice) and Midre Cummings were both awarded first base after catcher’s interference. Then it did not occur again until 2009 (twice) and again in 2010 (once). Catcher interference has happened for a Red Sox hitter three times in the last two seasons. All three times it was the same Red Sox hitter. Who was it?
