GAME NOTES

The Stanley Cup parade for the Bruins this morning will hopefully inspire the Red Sox to continue their winning ways. Pitching for the Red Sox tonight is Jon Lester. With a win tonight, Lester will become the first pitcher in the Major Leagues with 10 wins this season. Lester had a great outing against the Blue Jays in his last start: he pitched eight innings and conceded one run on two hits and a walk, garnering eight strikeouts. Lester makes his first career start against the Brewers tonight, but Yunesky Betancourt is 4-10 with a homer and three RBI against Lester.

Randy Wolf takes the mound for the Brewers tonight. Wolf pitched well in his last start against the Cubs, lasting seven innings and giving up no runs on six hits and no walks with eight strikeouts, but got a no decision in a 1-0 loss. Wolf is 2-1 with a 2.73 ERA against the Red Sox in his career. Among today’s starters, Adrian Gonzalez is 6-17 against Wolf.
