Mike Bauman from MLB.com talks about this in his latest column. Baseball would certainly benefit from expanding the format to allow for teams to at least be ‘in the hunt’. Will it affect our age old rivalry?
I would prefer to see it expanded to a one-game Wild Card play-in. It would put more onus on winning the division and not having to burn your Ace before the ALDS.
