Who Was Most to Blame for 2011’s Failure?

I guess there could be a number of ways to point one’s finger, but this week’s poll question asks you to single out the one key factor to 2011’s playoff-less season.

Head on over to the right sidebar to cast your vote >>>>>>

***************

Last week’s poll question asked you to rate on a scale of 1-5, how messed up is the Red Sox franchise right now? 1 being “not at all” and 5 being “completely screwed”. Interestingly, both extremes (numbers one and five) were least voted for, though five, representing “completely screwed” did receive many more votes (53) than one, representing “not at all” (10).

(43%, 156 Votes) – The number closest to the middle, but on the panic side of the 1-5 scale. I suppose one can’t really argue with this stance, given the complete uncertainty of the teams’ current management, but still quality on-field talent (field manager and GM positions).

(20%, 74 Votes) – There was almost a virtual tie for second place between four and two, which shows the vast difference of strong opinions withing Red Sox Nation. Only two votes separate a good portion of opinion from the positive or negative side.

(20%, 72 Votes) – Obviously there are some major problems that need to be addressed this offseason, but 20 percent of the voters still believe that things are going to be fine in 2012.

(15%, 53 Votes) – It was interesting to see the last two spots go to both extreme scenarios. In this case, the ratio of people who think the Sox’ organization is “completely screwed” outweighs those who are fine with the status quo.

(2%, 10 Votes) – See above.
