A tornado ripped through the streets of Boston this past week and it wasn’t made by mother nature. Gone are the Red Sox manager and GM (supposedly). The dirty laundry is hanging from the rafters of Fenway Park and no one, it seems, is safe. The front office has made some bold moves lately, some say too bold. What’s your stance on the current state of the Sox front office?

Last week, we asked “Who Was Most to Blame for 2011’s Failure?” Red Sox nation, understandably, took the chance to lay into John Lackey just a little bit more.
- John Lackey (52%, 221 Votes) – With over 50 percent of the votes, the winner is this season’s punching bag, John Lackey! Seriously John, we want you to succeed. We really do!
- Theo Epstein (14%, 61 Votes) – Interesting that a lot of the blame was cast on the GM that brought two World Series titles to the long suffering Red Sox faithful. Then again, he’s the one who signed Lackey and Dice-K, so…have fun in Chicago!
- The Bullpen (13%, 57 Votes) – What was looked at as an improved part of the 2011 team, ended up being more of the same. Will Jonathan Papelbon return or leave even more of a void in the beleaguered pen?
- Terry Francona (8%, 34 Votes) – Some blame Tito, but they’re far from the majority. If the clubhouse was as dysfunctional as reported, then you have to at least push some of the blame his way.
- Carl Crawford (7%, 31 Votes) – His first season with the Sox was a huge disappointment, that’s for sure, but he did battle some injuries. I’m thinking he bounces back nicely in 2012.
- Dice-K (3%, 13 Votes) – Wait? He was on this team this season?
- Kevin Youkilis (3%, 9 Votes) – Injuries sapped all of Youk’s power this season. I admire him for trying to play through the pain, but he did cost the Sox some production by doing so.
