Yesterday on December 31, 2011, Fire Brand of the American League turned eight years old.
On December 31, 2003, I was still smarting from the pain of Aaron Boone’s heart-wrenching home run and felt I needed a forum to put my rantings. The blogosphere had yet to truly take off, so I coded a simple page out of HTML and began my musings, switching to WordPress several months later.
With a new year, we will be crowning a new “Fire Brand of the Year” to take Jon Lester’s spot. In the coming days, we will reveal the winner. Until then, I hope everyone had a great New Year’s!
