Unfortunate news today as Red Sox legend Johnny Pesky has passed away. Pesky was a part of the Red Sox for over 60 years and was most recently seen at Fenway Park’s 100th anniversary in April.
The former player, coach, manager and instructor was with Boston from 1940 to June of 1952, then 1961 -1964 and then remained employed by only the Red Sox from 1969 onwards. Pesky’s contribution to the Red Sox was incalculable, and he will be sorely missed.
