Well, whatever we planned on talking about during tonight’s episode took an abrupt turn as Will Middlebrooks looked to re-injure his right wrist in a Spring Training game against Baltimore. If Middlebrooks was to be seriously hurt, or miss some time, where do the Red Sox turn? The name Xander Boegarts gets mentioned often in response.*
*News from FL is that Middlebrooks’ injury was more of a scare than anything else and isn’t expected to be that bad (breathes big sigh of relief).
From there we turn to the bright spots of Spring that are Allen Webster, Rubby De La Rosa and Jackie Bradley Jr. Sometimes, the future just does look bright.
