The day has finally arrived. It’s April 1st, 2013, and your Boston Red Sox will be playing Game 1 of 162 today.

  • Only one thing will bring the Red Sox out of the lows they’ve been in, and that’s winning. Sure, the season is a fresh start, but losing is old and stale. (Forget the brand and win some games)

A little heart-to-heart for you all:

Baseball is supposed to be fun. Let it be fun. Don’t let your views of the players/ownership/team in general take away from it.  I mean, let’s face it, if you survived 2012 and that ridiculous crap shoot, you can survive anything. It will not be that bad again.

Go into 2013 with no expectations. That way, when anything good happens, you’ll be happy with it. I know I’ll probably freak out over every 450-footer Mike Napoli hits over the Monster, so why not join in the fun? It’s much more entertaining this way.

Remember, this is your team. Be a good fan. Cheer ’em on. And above all, keep the faith.
