So the Sox lost a series. It happens. It was inevitable. I mean, I’d be pretty damn happy if the Sox won every series too, but that’s just not plausible.
- I’m not going to lie. That was a painful series to watch. Let’s give it one more final glance, then move on, as we always do. The Tampa Bay Rays are next. (Orioles top Red Sox again)
- He’s a borderline psycho. Throws tantrums. No fan has liked him since 2011. But now that he’s starting, we’re about to learn a bit more about this season’s Alfredo Aceves. (Alfredo Aceves, the Red Sox, and starting pitching)
- There have been worse homecomings than closer Joel Hanrahan‘s first series in Fenway. At least his high school’s team didn’t get blown out each year. Sigh. (Farrell: Hanrahan’s still our closer)
- Want to like this team more than you already do? Well, Koji Uehara is 38-years-old, so naturally, he’s a total spaz. And it’s awesome. (Koji Uehara lifts spirits, bullpen)

All things considered, the Red Sox have done well against AL East foes. It’s gonna be a dogfight to the end, that’s for sure.
