I’ll be the first to admit it – I would never have guessed that the Red Sox would be holding the best record in the majors even for a day. It’s the little things, y’know?
- I mean, yeah, it’s the Houston Astros, but you can’t feel anything but warm & fuzzy inside from John Lackey‘s win today. A quality start indeed. (Lackey’s first win since 2011 more than Sox expected)
- It’s another installment of the human inspiration machine known as Daniel Nava! This time, his glove’s the spotlight of the story. (Daniel Nava no longer liability)
- Back during the offseason, Mike Napoli stated that he preferred to play catcher. But maybe, just maybe, that whole first base shindig hasn’t been all that bad. (Mike Napoli Has Taken A Liking To This First Base Thing)
- He’s got an OBP of .417, but Dustin Pedroia hasn’t been comfortable at the plate. To hear him say that when he has those stats? That should terrify opposing pitchers. (Dustin Pedroia hoping to get hotter for Red Sox)
- Back to the grind for Daniel Bard. Coming back from that awful 2012 wasn’t going to be easy, but he’s got a ways to go yet to be what he used to be. (Red Sox send Daniel Bard back to Double-A)
- It’s not that the pitches have been drastically different to Will Middlebrooks, it’s that he isn’t doing anything with them. He’s been psyching himself out. (Middlebrooks’ struggles not a matter of pitchers changing approach)
- This TV segment made me cry, I was laughing so hard. I didn’t think ignorance had a mascot that said “TEE DUBYA TEE DUBYA” like it meant something. (The Hawk Trap)
What’s more fun than Red Sox baseball? At this point, pretty much nothing.
