Back home and back to business, right? The Red Sox looked revitalized last night, routing the Colorado Rockies.
- This was the first time the Rockies had been to Fenway Park since the 2007 World Series. And Boston brought out the fireworks for this special occasion. (Red Sox pound out 20 hits in 11-4 rout of Rockies)
- Mark down another quality start for Ryan Dempster. The veteran twirled another six innings of good work against a dangerous Colorado lineup. (Dempster gives Sox another quality outing in win)
- By the fourth inning, Dustin Pedroia had three hits, two runs, three RBI and a stolen base. The man just loves tormenting the Rockies. Remember this? (Dustin Pedroia rocks on)
- Will Middlebrooks needed to play to work out his problems. Sadly, the majors was not the place for it, and the Red Sox had no time to spare for him. (Struggling Middlebrooks sent down to Pawtucket)
- He wasn’t originally a left-handed hitter – Stephen Drew learned how to do that from his brother. And he’s primed for a breakout. (Looking For A Switch: Stephen Drew Seeks A Turnaround)
- Not exactly something I’d envision, but awesome nonetheless: Pedro Martinez serving fans ice cream. Yeah, I was confused at first too. (Pedro Martinez gives away free ice cream)
- I can’t stop myself from laughing at this every time I see it. It’s just too good not to share. (Brian Cashman says A-Rod “should just shut the f— up”)
Look! He is not a god!
Behold, an at-bat that doesn't end with a hit for Jose Iglesias. He's human, after all #RedSox
