At this point, I can’t even be mad at a loss. The magic number is 3 to clinch the AL East! How could I be mad when other teams can do our work for us?
- Alas, Koji Uehara is indeed human. All those fantastic streaks he was on ended last night, but he’s more sore about the loss, not those stats. (Uehara disappointed in loss, not end of streak)
- The guy commonly used in front of him, however, is just as dependable. Craig Breslow doesn’t exactly light up the scoreboard, but he gets the job done. (Craig Breslow continues to set up well out of bullpen)
- I wouldn’t go as far to say he’s the most dominant, but yeah, Clay Buchholz didn’t waste any time getting back up to top-tier levels of greatness this season. (Clay Buchholz Re-Establishes Himself)
- John McDonald doesn’t go to the playoffs very much. Every time he has gone, though, he’s loved the ride and can’t wait to get back to it. (John McDonald will be taking rare trip to postseason)
- Is Boston the best in the MLB right now? Their record – and their fanbase – says yes. Personnel-wise, though? That deserves a more in-depth look. (Are the Red Sox the best team in baseball?)
- Ah, predictions. We all humble ourselves with them. So why not go back and check them out now? Can’t hurt. (Looking back, how the 2013 Red Sox were predicted to finish)
- Oh, man. This…I’m sorry, Houston, but you’ve outdone yourself here. (Astros bringing up the rear)
Welcome to the NO-FUN ZONE.
