Man, the waiting is the worst, isn’t it? You just want it to start so you don’t have your heart stuck in your throat anymore. It makes me anxious.

• There was always something different about this Red Sox team, and even the players saw it. This team’s special, and this team is much different than what came before. (Sox players see something special in their team)

• The Red Sox are going to want to face Cleveland. Tampa Bay can give them fits, and they’ve dominated the Indians this season. So, Go Tribe! (Red Sox hope to face the Indians in ALDS)

• Even after a great season, John Lackey still gets no respect. Lackey wasn’t even considered for the MLBPA’s Comeback Player of the Year. (The MLBPA hates John Lackey)

• He’s old, grizzled, and yet he’s still mashing the ball. David Ortiz is back in the postseason, riding in on a fantastic 2013. (Answering critics, Big Papi returns to playoffs after monster season)

• You do what you gotta do to attempt to get into the playoffs, I guess. (Yu Darvish pitched through nerve problem in lower back and buttocks)
