ALCS Game-1 Drinking Game

We hope you have enjoyed your numerous glasses of champagne after the Red Sox defeated the Rays in four games in the ALDS.

However, it’s time to recuperate, focus, and start a whole new drinking game for Game 1 of the ALCS, scheduled for tomorrow night at Fenway Park against the Detroit Tigers. Drink safely and don’t be a dingus.

DRINK ONE BEER IF:

– A reference is made to the Red Sox defeating the Tigers 20-4 in September.
– Anybody other than Jacoby Ellsbury steals a base.
– Anybody other than David Ortiz hits a home run.
– Xander Bogaerts is in the starting lineup AND gets a hit.
– A reference is made to Stephen Drew’s ALDS struggles at the plate.
– The Red Sox score on a wild pitch.
– Jon Lester goes seven.
– Anibal Sanchez fails to pitch four innings.
– A reference is made to how this is the first playoff series between the two teams.

DRINK ONE SHOT IF:
– Shane Victorino gets hit by the pitch.
– Anibal Sanchez allows more than three home runs. (He allowed three against Oakland in the ALDS) – Drink TWO shots if this happens.
– Tim McCarver mispronounces someone’s name.
– Tim McCarver says “Brandon Arroyo”
– Joe Buck mentions how Anibal Sanchez was once a member in the Red Sox organization.
– A reference is made to how the Tigers will need Scherzer and Verlander to do well in both their starts if the Tigers are going to win the series.
– Anyone mentions how the Tigers have revitalized bankrupt Detroit.

DRINK TWO SHOTS IF:
– Miguel Cabrera is hitless.

DRINK THREE SHOTS IF:
– Miguel Cabrera AND Prince Fielder are hitless.
