Fire Brand readers, below are the staff’s predictions for the 2014 MLB Season. While there is a very good chance many of these will be incorrect, it will make all of you proud to note that not a single writer picked the Yankees to make the playoffs. scratch that, Daniel Poarch picked the Yankees to sneak into the second Wild Card spot. Everyone send him hate tweets.
Some interesting notes:
- Everyone’s NL Division champions are the exact same… Boring… Nationals, Cardinals, and Dodgers.
- A few of us have the Indians overtaking the Tigers in the AL Central
- We are divided on who will win the AL East between the Sox and the Rays
- The Wild Card picks are scattered all across the board. Even the Giants, Royals, and Brewers made an appearance.
- Everyone picked Mike Trout to win the AL MVP, and, quite frankly, it’s about time he does.
- Only Evan and Chip did not pick our boy Xander to win the AL Rookie of the Year. They picked Jose Abreu and Tanaka, respectively.
- The Cardinals are the trendy pick to win the World Series.
- Only Daniel picked the Red Sox to win the World Series. Now you may send him encouraging tweets!
