The Boston Red Sox are officially all set for Opening Day as Brandon Workman claimed the final spot in the bullpen yesterday as the team announced the 25-man roster.

Workman struck out 16 batters during the spring and will likely remain on the squad until Craig Breslow is activated from the 15-day DL at some point.

Along with this move, the Red Sox also dealt with five non-roster invitees on Saturday. Francisco Cordero, even with a successful spring, was released. Pitchers Tommy Lane and Brayan Villarreal, outfielder Corey Brown and infielder Mike McCoy were all reassigned to Triple-A Pawtucket. Layne will likely be up first out of these four due to a great spring that showed a lot of potential as he was able to keep runs off the board in all but one outing. He allowed five runs in his final outing of the spring on Saturday.

Here is a list of all the players the Red Sox will carry on Opening Day:

Burke Badenhop, Clay Buchholz, Chris Capuano, Felix Doubront, John Lackey, Jon Lester, Andrew Miller, Edward Mujica, Jake Peavy, Junichi Tazawa, Koji Uehara and Brandon Workman
