In the first podcast of the 2015 season — yes, we are slackers — Paul and Tim are sent reeling by the current state of the 10-9 Red Sox. Paul goes so far as to call them “the ugliest 10-9 team in history”. We have starters who can’t get into the 6th inning, a closer with no life on his pitches, a bullpen of no names and an offense that is slumping through the early season.

So are we overreacting when Tim calls for a Jonathan Papelbon deal — if Allan Craig is included — or when Paul supplants a starter-to-the-DL with Brian Johnson or “the other lefty” Rodriguez? Maybe so, but thats what the first few weeks of a baseball season will do to you.

An oh yeah — stick around for the end of the show because we were taping during the walk off by Mookie. I guess all is right with the world after all. #6-3homestand

All that and more on this week’s edition of Fireside Chats.
