Isn’t it amazing how much of a difference playing seven games against the bottom of the MLB barrel can do for the narratives surrounding a team? Closing last show Tim and Paul looked at the upcoming series’ with the lowly Atlanta Braves and the – yes, I’ll say it – lowly New York Yankees and proclaimed a winning streak ahead. Low and behold, on the backs of a hot Dustin Pedroia, Travis Shaw, Rick Porcello, and thir surrounding band of brothers, the Red Sox find themselves atop the American League East and winners of eight of their last ten games.

From the pitching positives of Porcello to the up and down ace, David Price, and the withering Clay Buchholz to the heat emanating throughout the Red Sox lineup – it’s all on the table and everything is coming up Red Sox.

All that and more on this week’s edition of Down by the River.

Thanks for listening!
