GAME NOTES: Save for an embarrassing tie in 2002, the AL All-Stars have defeated the NL every midsummer classic since 1997. We’ll hope that doesn’t change tonight with the two deserving starters, Dan Haren and Jake Peavy, toeing the rubber. My quick prediction: Justin Morneau hits a 3-R HR and is named MVP. The Red Sox consequently receive homefield advantage in the 2007 World Series.
