With Paul at training in Rochester, NY for the second consecutive week, this week’s episode takes a little while to get into gear. But once we hit our stride, we are as graceful as Jacoby Ellsbury rounding the bases.
We start with a new segment, the Ceremonial First Pitch where we tackle a topic of someone’s choosing to kick off the show. Today, the First Pitch is my honor and I lob a “Manny Ramirez chases 500” meatball at Paul to tackle. Paul will have honors next week, but after that, it is our hope that the First Pitch will feature a question or statement from you all. The listeners come number one, so you all get to kick off the show! Leave your First Pitch topics in the comments, and watch your Trivia questions from Evan as the First Pitch might very well be your reward to a question answered correctly.
From there, we navigate through the series in Detroit and Minnesota tackling topics posted on Fire Brand this week as we go. From Julio Lugo to Clay Buchholz, we take on all topics. I think we managed to trade Lugo and Coco Crisp during the course of the show.
