New Poll Question:
Who should be Papelbon’s primary setup man?
Who should be Papelbon’s primary setup man?
- Daniel Bard: Closer of the future, setup man of present.
- Hideki Okajima: He’s done it since ’07.
- Billy Wagner: Throws lefty, too filthy for words
It’s going to be a legitimate question heading into the playoffs. Who do you hand the ball to in the eighth?
As always, new poll is up to the right…vote away and argue it out in the comments.
Previous Poll Results:
Who will have a greater impact in September?
To my surprise, Billy Wagner came out on top, although he was pushed hard by Wakefield. Wagner has struck out eight in three innings pitched so far. Wagner gives the Red Sox a shut down 7-8-9 inning ensemble, which will be devastating in October. The question was September, though, so I went with Byrd: a consistent No. 5 can and will do wonders for us.
