8/21: Penny vs. Pettitte

The Red Sox look to get back into the division race this weekend. Making the playoffs is most important, but the division would be great to take.

BOS 4, NYY 1: Thieves

After Usain Bolt threw out the first pitch in Saturday's win against the New York Yankees, Jacoby Ellsbury wanted to remind everyone who the fastest person wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey really was.

4/26: Sweep time?

Pettitte has been the Yankees' best starter today; will he be the stopper for them that he's been so long? He didn't give up a walk or a strikeout in his last outing (seven innings) so that may not bode well for him. On Masterson's side, he'll likely struggle with Yankee players laying off his sinker. If he can stay in the zone, he'll go long. Otherwise, it'll be a short outing.

As if last night's game between Boston and New York didn't provide enough drama.

Nine Up, Nine Down: Welcoming the Yankees

The philosophy about building a strong farm was basically put on hold for a year. But Brian Cashman made some nice maneuvers, and the result--whether it was intentional or not--allowed the Yankees to lose their first three picks this year. And that is better than losing a first-round pick in three consecutive seasons, of course.

8/26: Show no mercy

7/26: Yankees Quickly Approaching

NYY 1, BOS 0: Joba as good as advertised
