BOS 10-7, MIN 1-3: Sox complete doubleheader sweep

What else could Terry Francona possibly want on his 50th birthday? The Red Sox completed a day-night doubleheader sweep of the Minnesota Twins slugging out 17 runs, 19 hits and 4 homers. Boston also improved their winning streak to seven games.

4/22 G1: Afternoon delight

A doubleheader is in effect today. Wonder how many empty seats we'll see at the park -- see Sean O's comment on how the Red Sox bent over fans that were supposed to be at the game.

4/21: Can Wake get a no-no this time?

The Twins come to town in advance of the accursed Yankees. Without Joe Mauer, this is a shell of the team they could be, but they've been resilient so far.

BOS 8, OAK 2: Wakefield spins gem

The scenario was reminiscent of Curt Schilling's performance against the Oakland Athletics two years ago on June 7. Boston was in a funk. Oakland had a chance at sweeping the Red Sox at home for the first time in a four game set since May 19-21, 1932 when they played in Philadelphia. Schilling was called upon to halt the losing streak.

4/15: Don’t Panic

Seriously....don't panic....OK....maybe just a little.

OAK 6, BOS 5: Red Sox slide continues

Not only is Daisuke Matsuzaka's arm fatigued, but Red Sox Nation is also after suffering through a 12 inning, four hour and 24 minute, 6-5 extra innings loss to Oakland.

LAA 6, BOS 3: Weaver earns win for fallen teammate

Sean McAdam and the Boston Red Sox had one thing in common last night. Both of their performances were terrible. With that said, thank goodness for Rex Hudler in the third and fourth innings.

4/10: Westward Ho!

The Red Sox are now three games into a nine-gamer streak, and the next six are out west. Their next (and last) West Coast trip is May 12-17, which bodes well to get some rest as the season goes on.
