GAME NOTES: Enough of the Blue Jays. Tonight, with master Curt on the hill, the Red Sox get back to their winning ways against Baltimore. The Orioles used to be a thorn in the side of the Red Sox back from 2003 to 2005, but the Sox have turned it around since then and dominated the series last year. Avoiding rain, Daniel Cabrera goes against Boston looking to turn the tide. Cabrera is 1-6 career vs. BOS with a 9.27 ERA. The young man has always featured an explosive fastball and good raw stuff, but hasn’t put it completely together at the big league level. Supposedly he’s new and improved, and we’ll get an up close and personal view tonight. Enough losing.
