PRIOR GAME VS. BAL: Boston 5 @ Baltimore 6 on 8/10/07
DECISION: W: Jim Hoey | L: Hideki Okajima
STARS OF THE GAME: Nick Markakis was 1-4 with 2 RBI’s but most importantly drove home the game winning run on a sac fly.
RED SOX’S PREVIOUS GAME: Boston 5 @ Baltimore 6 on 8/10/07

GAME NOTES: Josh Beckett looks for his 15th win of the season against Garrett Olsen who has only made two starts this season and has not gone farther than the 5th inning in either start. Boston could use a win for morale sake after losing last night’s game and perhaps this night if Beckett can get it to the bullpen the pen can actually close the door this time. Still wondering why Eric Gagne started off the inning against the Orioles when there were two lefties due up, but Terry Francona elected not to use Hideki Okajima and we all know the result. Beckett’s 1-1 in three games started against the Orioles. The only win he got was back on April 26th at Baltimore throwing for 8 innings, giving up two runs, and striking out three.
