From the Boston Herald:
Prosecutors say Rodriguez was among a group of men who watched the baseball game on TV in Boston, won by the Red Sox 6-4. As the men drove home along Interstate 93, some of them teased Rodriguez, a Yankees fan.
He pulled a gun and fatally shot Jose Rivera and wounded Raphael Tavares and Jose Viera.
Rodriguez has been in jail since the incident, which occurred in 2004 and will be credited with that time spent. To recap, Rodriguez went to the bar to watch his favorite team play, they lost, he shot someone, then spent the next four years of his life in jail while the team, whose victory and alcohol fueled his murderous rage, wins two World Series titles.
Looking at the bright side of things, he will be released next year from prison; just in time to enjoy the Wilson Betemit-Kei Igawa era of New York Yankees baseball!
