Personally, I think the NL should adopt the DH so this silly interleague stuff can just be commonplace, but you work with what ya got, I guess.
- He wasn’t horrible, but Ryan Dempster ended up losing the pitchers’ duel to Cliff Lee. Gotta look on the bright side of these things, like the fact he didn’t give up tons of extra-base hits this time. (Despite tough loss, Dempster improves)
- Jonathan Papelbon had 104 saves at Fenway Park as part of the Red Sox. He now has 105 career saves in Boston, earning one last night to a chorus of cheers and boos. (Papelbon closes door on Sox in Fenway return)
- If the trend continues, there’s one lesson the Red Sox will have to learn sooner or later: It’ll be quite lonely at the top – of the AL East, I mean. (Red Sox first in the East, all according to plan?)

- Just a few weeks since the temper tantrum that was rooted in dissatisfaction, Jose Iglesias seems to have grown up quickly since being called up to the majors. (Iglesias showing increased maturity on the field and off)
