Good thing for Carl Crawford that he knocked in today’s game winner because most of you had him ranked #1 on your list of Red Sox concerns.

By an overwhelming measure, Crawford ran away with last week’s poll question, “Which Red Sox concerns you the most?”

Crawford received nearly half of the votes (49%) and crushing 2nd place Clay Buchholz who garnered just 19% of your votes.

Overwhelming, obvious and without question Crawford’s struggles weighed on the voting as the week went on but thankfully, Crawford was able to knock in the gw-RBI today to beat the Mariners. Hopefully turning the calendar to May will allow Carl to get comfortable and bust out.

Speaking of May, we have now reached a new month so maybe it’s time to re-evaluate some of our win projections for this team. Right now the Sox are 11-15. Bill James’ simple Pythagorean Theorem for win expectation says they are a 12-14 team, so what you see is what you’ve got.

Now maybe May will get us going the other way. Vote to your right of the screen and predict the win totals given where we are now.
