PRIOR GAME VS. TEX: Red Sox 4, Rangers 8 on 4/7/07
DECISION: W: Kevin Millwood | L: Psycho Tavarez
STAR OF THE GAME: Uhhh….Lugo had 2 hits!

GAME NOTES: At least they worked the count. Millwood only managed to stay on the hill for 5 innings but the lead was too big for the unpowerful Red Sox offense to approach. I like the patience of the order yesterday…but can we please just get one measly home run? It helps. The pitching was woeful for Tavarez (4 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 5 BB, 3 K) and Romero (0.0 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 0 K and a hook by Francona that went on about five batters too long). The Red Sox are only 1/2 back of first place with their 2-3 record and look to even it up with Schill on the mound Sunday night against Padilla. Here’s to a rebound for G38 and a day when the pitching and offense both are productive. We can’t seem to get that right yet.
