GAME NOTES: A battle of lefties tonight in Cleveland as the undefeated Kason Gabbard faces his toughest test yet. Gabbard has been a godsend for Boston this year, posting a 2.97 ERA in five starts and filling in nicely for the injured Curt Schilling. Cliff Lee, who Steve Phillips famously pronounced as the best lefty in baseball on that disaster of a show last year, is having an awful year- 5.95 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, 73 ERA+. Expect more scoring tonight and an exciting finale in a possible playoff preview.
