Mike Lowell provided half of the offense for the Boston Red Sox winning 6-0 while Tim Wakefield improved to 15-10 on the season and 19-2 against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays including being 9-0 at Tropicana Field in his career.
Wakefield allowed four hits, walked one, and struck out five in 7 innings earning the win and tying him for the lead league in wins as well.
Lowell drove home three runs going 2-2 with two hits and two walks.
