The Boston Red Sox had many chances to win last night, but two twin killings late in the game would foreshadow Boston’s ending result.
In the tenth and eleventh innings the Red Sox had two situations where in which runners were in scoring position but David Ortiz grounded out into an inning ending double play and Julio Lugo repeated the same act in the eleventh inning not scoring any runs eventually losing 5-4.
Nathan Haynes singled home Carl Crawford in the bottom of the eleventh for the walk-off win off of Mike Timlin.
