Lester’s been lights-out since the ASB, with a 1.69 ERA and a 19/2 K/BB rate, with a 3.14 ERA and 101/46 rate overall. In his only other time facing the White Sox (also at The Cell), Lester went 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits. Buehrle’s been roughed up recently, with a 6.08 ERA and only 9 K’s in 23 innings since the ASB, but his 3.15 home ERA will be hard to beat. Buehrle has a 4.46 ERA in his career against Boston, with a mediocre 31/22 K/BB rate. Look for Papi (1.064 OPS), Coco (.988) and Varitek (1.092) to lead the offense.
