GAME NOTES
In a match up that was never supposed to happen, Clay Buchholz takes the hill against early Cy Young favorite and flu-infested Jered Weaver. Both battled various forms of internal distress and were scratched from their respective starts on Sunday. Weaver comes in with a sparkling 6-0 record and a 0.99 ERA. Buchholz, on the other hand, looks to improve on a 1-3 mark, and regain the form he showed last year. Kevin Youkilis is back in the lineup after sitting out a game with a sore left hip.
