The Red Sox have a renewed roster and a renewed energy for their attempt at another World Series championship, which they won just two seasons ago. When it became apparent that contending in 2014 was unrealistic, the Boston Red Sox reloaded for 2015, but had to make some tough decisions along the way. Pending free agents Jake Peavy, John Lackey and fan favorite Jon Lester, who was traded to the Athletics for Yoenis Cespedes were sent away to clear up space for the moves that would most heavily impact 2015.

The Red Sox flexed their financial muscle, signing two of the top free agents on offense in Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez. The rotation was bolstered by acquiring Justin Masterson, Wade Miley and Rick Porcello (traded for Cespedes). These additions, mixed in with veterans and fan favorites Dustin Pedroia, David Ortiz and Mike Napoli, have the Boston faithful ready to rebound from the 2014-15 lackluster season.

The AL East division has welcomed plenty of new visitors to its teams. The Orioles welcome back Matt Wieters and Manny Machado from injury and say goodbye to outfields Nick Markakis and Nelson Cruz. The Yankees try to find their ground after losing Derek Jeter to retirement. The Blue Jays add firepower with Josh Donaldson and Russell Martin in their quest to break a 22-year playoff drought and the Tampa Bay Rays try to find themselves through new management and a made over roster.

Lets dive into some of the most sought after Boston Red Sox tickets, according to ScoreBig.com.

As, expected, the highest average ticket price for a Red Sox home game at Fenway Park is $274 with a get-in price of $77 on July 10th when the New York Yankees come into town. The average price for all Red Sox vs. Yankees games this year at Fenway is $247.

Other high-priced Sox home games include an early April meeting with the Washington Nationals (average price of $241), a July series against the Detroit Tigers (the July 24th-26th has an average listing price of $176) and Patriot’s day on April 20th (average price of $124 for meeting with Baltimore Orioles.)

The highest prices road game is also against the Yankees on October 1st with an average ticket price of $504 and a get-in of $35.

If the Red Sox compete as they’re expected to, these prices may be on the rise for a team that should be in contention for the AL East and is considered as a possible World Series winner. The fans in Beantown have put last season behind them and are full steam ahead on 2015.
