The MLB All-Star game is sooner than you might imagine, and while most of you just sighed at the thought of another pointless exhibition involving superstars who could care less, remember that this one counts! Kidding aside, the midsummer classic is the only truly interesting and worthwhile All-Star game remaining in professional sports. The individual matchups have unlimited potential, and due to the fact the Red Sox have the best record in the American League, there is serious rooting interest to be done. James Shields facing Sammy Sosa affecting the World Series is ridiculous, yes, but it does add some flavor to the event. Since my knowledge of the National League is slim, here is my final All-Star ballot for the great American League:
